Where to ride
Four days out, and not a boat among them.
Everybody sees the lagoons. Far fewer people see the rest of it, and the rest of it is where the good afternoons hide. Here's where we'd send you first.
- 01Las Cabanas, for the sunset
- A short ride south of town, and the easiest first outing if you've never ridden before. Get there an hour before the sun goes and there's time for a swim first.
- 02Nacpan, for the long sand
- North up the coast, and the ride most people come back talking about. Twin beaches, a headland you can walk over between them, and enough room that it never feels crowded. Go early and it's yours.
- 03Duli, if you want it quieter still
- Further north again, past Nacpan. Surf when the season's right, almost nobody when it isn't, and a couple of places to eat. Give it a whole day rather than an afternoon.
- 04Sibaltan, for the other coast
- Across to the east side, where the sun comes up instead of down. A working fishing village, a small heritage house worth an hour of anyone's time, and a road that's a pleasure to ride.

Staying longer than a week? You'll drop onto the cheaper rate on your own — six days costs the same as seven. Every price covers a helmet, insurance and delivery in El Nido town, and fuel is the only thing you'll add.
Before you set off
Three things and you're away.
- Bring your licence
- A motorcycle licence, or an International Driving Permit that covers motorcycles. We check it when you pick up — it matters because your travel insurance won't cover you without one.
- The deposit comes back
- ₱5,000 in cash on the day, straight back to you when you return the scooter. We won't keep your passport. You might need it, and it isn't ours to hold.
- Helmets are on us
- One in your size with every scooter, along with third-party insurance and delivery to wherever you're staying in town. Fuel's the only thing you'll add.
